“It’s not just about shooting drills over and over hoping that you get better through repetition.  It’s about learning how to analyze what you are doing and how well it is or is not working for you,” explains Gordon.

All of GLC Shooting Academy classes provide written handouts covering all of the information presented in the class for students to refer back to following the class.

What makes GLC Shooting Academy Classes Different?

About Gordon

Gordon Carrell started the GLC Shooting Academy in 2004 after numerous requests from fellow shooters wanting instruction on how to shoot better and be more competitive.

Gordon has over 60 National, Regional and State Titles including 2011 Smith & Wesson Indoor National Championship.  Gordon holds the classification of Distinguished Master in SSP (Stock Service Pistol) and ESP (Enhanced Service Pistol) in IDPA (International Defensive Pistol Association.)

Gordon was a talented athlete in his youth and originally went to college to be a coach. This background has given Gordon a unique philosophy on teaching and is one of the reasons so many of his students have become successful shooters.  Gordon provides one on one personal attention and instruction to each student in the class. He doesn’t just want you to do the same drill over and over, he wants you to understand what went into the last practice run to make the next practice run more successful.

About Randi

Randi joined GLC Shooting Academy as assistant / co-instructor in 2018 after numerous requests by Gordon Carrell.

Randi has over 85 World and National Championship Titles, including 2011 Gold Medal in the IPSC World Shoot in Greece. Randi has excelled in 9 different shooting disciplines in her 25 year career. With skill and passion,  you can count on Randi to finish near the top in her class, category, division with all competitors both men and women.

Randi started her shooting career with her grandparents at the age of 11. Her grandfather Evil Roy, was a world champion Cowboy Action Shooter, and coached every shot she ever shot for 10+ years on the range. While having every shot coached was a wonderful, a surprising benefit was that Randi also watched every shot her grandfather made. This gave Randi the unique ability to “see” what other shooters are doing and to help diagnose and suggest options for improvement.
